About Schick Investigative Services, LLC

Court‑Aware, Independent Investigative Support

Schick Investigative Services, LLC provides independent, defense‑side investigative support focused on developing accurate, verifiable findings suitable for legal review and litigation.

Our work is grounded in a disciplined approach to fact development, documentation, and analysis—ensuring that investigative results can withstand scrutiny in motions, negotiations, hearings, and trial.

Our Focus

The firm supports attorneys and clients in matters where accuracy, consistency, and defensibility are critical.

We specialize in:

  • – Identifying investigative gaps and unsupported conclusions
  • – Verifying contested facts, timelines, and evidence
  • – Documenting findings in a clear, structured, and defensible manner
  • – Supporting informed decision‑making without directing legal strategy
  •

Our role is not advocacy, but the development of reliable information that allows counsel to assess risk and maintain control of the case.

Our Approach

All work is conducted using a consistent methodology:

  • Verification Over Assumption – Facts are confirmed, not inferred
  • Objective Reporting – Findings are documented without advocacy
  • Defensible Methods – Work is performed with litigation in mind
  • Discreet Execution – Sensitive matters handled professionally

This ensures that investigative results remain reliable when reviewed, challenged, or relied upon in legal proceedings.

About Erik Schick

Erik Schick is a licensed California Private Investigator with more than two decades of investigative and supervisory experience, including investigative review work within the Los Angeles Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division.

Throughout his career, he has evaluated investigative work for accuracy, procedural compliance, and documentation quality, assessing reports, body‑worn camera footage, and evidence to identify inconsistencies or deficiencies that impact case outcomes.

This background provides a practical understanding of how investigative decisions are scrutinized and how documentation is tested under cross‑examination, particularly where unsupported assumptions weaken otherwise solid cases.

As the founder of Schick Investigative Services, LLC, Erik applies this experience to provide independent, defense‑side investigative support grounded in verifiable facts, disciplined methodology, and court‑aware documentation.

His work emphasizes accuracy, neutrality, and defensibility, ensuring investigative findings remain reliable when reviewed, challenged, or relied upon in legal proceedings.
